# Accessing e-mail accounts through webmail

> Learn how to access your webmail email account. This is the easiest way for accessing an e-mail account, and requires no special configuration.

This article describes shows the available options for webmail with links to more information.

## What is webmail?

Webmail applications enable you to check your e-mail accounts by using your web browser. You can compose and read e-mail messages, maintain an address book, and do other common tasks. Third-party e-mail client applications, such as Thunderbird and Microsoft Outlook Express, generally provide more features than webmail applications, but also require more initial configuration.

Hosting.com offers two control panels, and both include webmail:

## cPanel webmail

If your account includes the cPanel control panel, you can use the Roundcube webmail application.

## Plesk webmail

If your account includes the Plesk control panel, you can use the Roundcube webmail application that is available with Managed WordPress plans.
