# Do you support disk upgrades on unmanaged servers?

> Yes, you can increase disk space for your unmanaged VPS.

Yes, you can increase disk space for your unmanaged VPS. To do this, follow these steps:

1. Upgrade your existing plan to the new plan that you want.
2. Open a support ticket at [https://my.hosting.com](https://my.hosting.com)  and specify when you want us to reboot the server so the new disk size can take effect.

<Note>
  * Data migration is not necessary when you upgrade disk space.

  * You cannot downgrade (decrease) disk space for an unmanaged VPS.
