# Resetting your Managed WordPress administrator password in Plesk

This article describes how to reset the administrator password on a Plesk-based Managed WordPress account.

## Resetting the administrator password

To reset the administrator password, follow these steps:

1. Log in to Plesk.

   > If you do not know how to log in to your Plesk account, please see [this article](/docs/logging-in-and-out-of-plesk).

2. In the left sidebar, click **WordPress**. A list of WordPress installations on your site appears.

3. Click the name of the WordPress installation for which you want to reset the password.

4. Under **Access Info**, click **\[change login settings]**. The **Login Settings** page appears.

5. To display the current password, next to **Current password**, click **Show**.

6. To reset the current password, click **\[change]**:

* In the **New password** and **Confirm password** text boxes, type the new password.

  > Alternatively, you can click **Generate** and Plesk generates a random, strong password for you.

7. Click **OK**.
