# Setting custom timezone in OpenCart

> Learn how to enable timezones in OpenCart to ensure accurate transaction details in databases and on pages.

Timezone settings have an impact on transaction details stored in databases or displayed on the page. This article will show you how to enable timezones in [OpenCart](https://hosting.com/hosting/platforms/opencart-hosting/).

## Setting timezone in OpenCart

1. Log into OpenCart as an administrator.

2. On the **Dashboard** in the left sidebar, click **Extensions**, and then click **Marketplace**:\

3. Search for **PHP and Database Timezone** extension and install it:\

4. Click on **Extensions**, select the **Modules** option under the extension filter type:\

6. After installing the extension, click on edit:\

7. Change its status to **Enabled** and set the appropriate timezone for your store:\
