# How to Fix phpMyAdmin Access Errors

> If you can't access phpMyAdmin or receive an error when opening it from your hosting control panel, try the following steps.

## Common errors

You may see errors such as:

* Access denied (#1045)
* 403 Forbidden
* A blank or incomplete phpMyAdmin page
* phpMyAdmin fails to open from the control panel

## Try these steps first

1. Sign out of your Hosting Panel or control panel and sign back in.
2. Open phpMyAdmin again.
3. Try a private/incognito browser window.
4. Try another browser or network.
5. If you're using a VPN or proxy, temporarily disable it and try again.

### If you see "Access denied (#1045)"

This usually means the database username or password was rejected.

Check that:

* The database and database user still exist.
* The database user is assigned to the correct database.
* The database credentials used by your website are correct.

For WordPress, check the database details in `wp-config.php`.

**Do not send your database password to Support.**

### If you see 403 Forbidden or a blank page

If the problem continues after trying another browser or network, the request may be blocked by a security or server-level rule.

Contact Support and provide the **exact error message**, affected domain, and a screenshot if available.

## phpMyAdmin is missing

If you don't see phpMyAdmin or the database management option in your control panel, contact Support so we can check whether it is available for your hosting environment.

## Still can't access phpMyAdmin?

If you've tried the steps above and still can't access phpMyAdmin, contact Support with:

* Your domain
* The exact error message
* What you were doing when the error occurred
* A screenshot, if available
