Web Hosting is one subscription that gets your business online. It runs your website on our infrastructure, managed for you, and comes with the things you need around it — a domain, email at your own domain, security and backups.
Your site runs in its own isolated container with dedicated CPU and RAM. This is not old-style shared hosting where one busy site slows everyone else down.
Everything is managed in the Hosting Panel — billing, upgrades, support and your sites in one place. As you move to a bigger plan, nothing changes about how you work.

Who it’s for

Web Hosting suits businesses getting online and staying online — brochure sites, blogs, online stores and portfolios — and anyone moving from another host. It’s the natural next step after registering a domain, and it’s where most customers start.

What’s included

Getting your site up

  • A free domain registration with your plan
  • An AI website builder for WordPress, and Orbi, our AI assistant
  • Free managed migration — unlimited sites, with a test URL to check before you go live

Email at your own domain

  • Mailboxes, forwarders and webmail, on the domain your customers already know

Keeping it secure and online

  • Free SSL via Let’s Encrypt, enabled by default — see Introduction to SSL
  • Malware protection and a web application firewall, managed for you
  • Daily off-server backups, restorable to any point in the last 30 days
  • A 99.9% uptime commitment, backed by service credits, and a 30-day money-back guarantee

The environment underneath

  • NVMe storage, LiteSpeed caching and AMD EPYC hardware, refreshed with no downtime
  • Unlimited databases, with PHP, MySQL and PostgreSQL
  • SSH access, Git, Composer and WP-CLI on every plan

What steps up as you grow

Every plan gives you the same Hosting Panel and the same way of working. Three things change as you move up: Plans run from a single site up to 100 sites, and you can upgrade instantly with no downtime. For what each plan includes and what it costs, see hosting plans and the package comparison.

Things you can add

Your plan covers hosting your site. These attach to it when you need them, and are managed in the same panel:
  • More email — extra mailboxes, or a larger mailbox tier
  • Premium SSL — DV, OV, EV and wildcard certificates, beyond the free Let’s Encrypt
  • Marketing tools — the Marketing Suite, for getting found in search
  • A website builder — including online store plans if you’re selling
  • WordPress add-ons — WordPress Security, and WP Rocket licences
  • Domain services — privacy, expiry protection and transfers

If you’d rather we did it for you

Some customers want the outcome, not the tool. You can buy the work as a service:
  • WordPress Care Plans — ongoing maintenance, updates and monitoring
  • A one-time malware fix, if your site has been compromised
  • Free managed migration, included with your plan

What’s supported

The questions we’re asked most often.

Room to grow

Web Hosting is fully managed — we run, patch, monitor and back up the platform, and that’s what keeps it simple. Some projects eventually want control of the server itself, or more than one account’s worth of resources. When yours does, there’s a product for it, and you keep the same panel and the same support team. If pages slow down at busy times, or you’re bumping into your resource limits, the next step up is a Managed Cloud Server: your own dedicated resources, still fully managed, no re-platforming and no migration. See managed servers. If you run WordPress and want it managed end to end, you can move across to Managed WordPress. For anything more specialised:
Already using a hosted service elsewhere? We can open outbound ports on request — for example port 5432 so your site can talk to a Supabase database hosted somewhere else. That keeps you on your current plan.

A note on cPanel

Some customers may run on cPanel. This is a separate hosting control panel that you log in to. cPanel Hosting is a different product, bought specifically, where you work in cPanel directly rather than through the Hosting Panel. If that’s what you have, start with Getting started with cPanel.
