Using Lua
Learn how to use Lua on hosting.com servers. Version 5.1 is installed on reseller and shared accounts, but Dedicated or Managed VPS servers require a special request.
Lua is a flexible programming language frequently used for scripting.
By default, Lua version 5.1 is installed on reseller and shared hosting accounts.
If you have a managed VPS or managed Dedicated Server, please open a ticket at https://my.hosting.com and we can install it for you.
If you have an unmanaged VPS, you can install Lua by using the package manager for your Linux distribution.
