Four different problems all look like “I cannot log in”, and they need completely different things. Find yours below — the wrong route can cost you several days.

Which one is you?

You have forgotten your password

No request needed, and nothing to prove.
  1. Go to https://my.hosting.com.
  2. Click Forgot password?
  3. Enter the email address on the account.
  4. Follow the link in the email we send.
See Login or Register for the Hosting Panel. If the reset email does not arrive, check spam first. If it still has not come, the address on the account may not be one you can reach any more — which is the third case below, not this one.

You cannot generate your two-factor code

Lost the phone, replaced it, or the authenticator app no longer has the entry. As long as you can still receive email at the address on the account, this is the smaller request. Go to https://my.hosting.com/recovery and choose 2FA Removal. You will still need to verify your identity with a photo ID and a selfie. Once it is done we switch two-factor off, and you can set it up again afterwards.
We only support authenticator app two-factor authentication. We do not use SMS codes, so if you are waiting for a text message, none is coming.

You cannot reach the email address on the account

This is the big one, and it usually happens for a specific reason: the account email is an address on the domain you host with us, and the domain or the hosting has gone offline — so the inbox that would receive a reset link is down too. You need full account recovery, which means identity verification and a review by our Trust and Safety team. Expect a first reply within 1 to 3 business days. There is a specific option in the form for the hosted-email case. Getting it right matters — see Recovering access to your account.

You think someone else has taken the account

If the email address on the account has changed to one you do not recognise, or you are seeing activity you did not authorise, submit a recovery request now rather than waiting.

Why we cannot just check who you are over chat

If you contact us from an address that is not on the account, we cannot discuss the account at all — not its invoices, not its services, not even confirm what it contains. There are no exceptions. That rule is the reason nobody else can talk their way into your account either. Recovery is the safe route back in, and it exists for exactly this.
