About MIDI
MIDI files instruct a computer's sound card how to make a particular sound and send it to the speakers.
MIDI files are very small. A typical .wav file of a 5-minute song can be 20 megabytes or more. A comparable MIDI file of the same song can be less than 1000 kilobytes.
Using MIDI
Hosting.com's servers have the appropriate MIME types configured for full MIDI file support. You can use the .midi or .mid extension for your MIDI files.
