Webmail lets you read and send email in a web browser, with nothing to configure. It is the quickest way into a mailbox, and it keeps working when a mail app on your phone or laptop does not — which makes it the first thing to try when email stops working. Where you find it depends on which product you have.

Professional Email

Professional Email is our email product, and it comes with its own webmail. If you bought email from us as a product rather than using the mailboxes included with hosting, this is almost certainly what you have. See Managing your email in Professional Email webmail.

Older Professional and Business Email plans

Some long-standing accounts run on SmarterMail, an earlier platform we no longer sell. SmarterMail is itself the webmail interface. If your plan predates Professional Email, see Professional and Business Email.

cPanel Hosting, reseller hosting on cPanel, managed VPS and dedicated

Accounts with cPanel include the Roundcube webmail application. See Accessing webmail through cPanel. You can also send users straight to webmail without going through cPanel, which is useful for staff who only need their mailbox — see Accessing webmail clients directly.

Windows hosting, and older Plesk accounts

Plesk includes the Roundcube webmail application. See Accessing webmail in Plesk.

Plans managed in the Hosting Panel

You create and manage mailboxes on the Emails tab — see Managing your email in the Hosting Panel, or Managing your email in Enhance if you are a reseller on Enhance. To read your mail, set the mailbox up in a mail app. The panel shows the IMAP, POP and SMTP settings for each account.
Not sure which control panel you have? See Accessing your hosting control panel.

Webmail or a mail app

Both work, and you can use both on the same mailbox at the same time.
If your mail app has stopped connecting but webmail still works, your address has probably been blocked after repeated failed logins. See Email stopped working after too many failed logins.
