Creating short link in WordPress

Learn how to create short or tiny URLs for your WordPress pages for social media posting. This article shows you how to create a short or tiny URL using the Pretty Link plugin.

Previously, WordPress made it simple to generate a short link to a blog post or page by including a Get Shortlink button adjacent to the permalink section of the classic editor. This feature has been deleted. Due to the length restriction, short links or tiny urls are ideal for social media posting. A shorter URL allows for more useful content to be included, which can result in more engagement and traffic to your WordPress website. This tutorial will demonstrate how to create tiny urls for WordPress URLs.
