Joomla is a feature rich content manager and allows various customization using templates. There are many free or paid templates to change and customize the look of the Joomla backend. This article shows you how to change the control panel look and feel with a template change.

Changing the control panel template for Joomla

To change the control panel template follow these steps:
  1. Log in to your Joomla site with an administrator account.
  2. On the top menu bar, click Extensions, click Manage, and then click Styles:
  3. Change to Administratrator in the selection box to make template changes only for administrator view:
  4. Tick the checkbox next to the selected style and click on Default:
  5. View the updated Joomla backend style template for the administrator view:
