How to change the PHP version for your Rocket.net Managed WordPress website
Learn how to change the PHP version for your Rocket.net Managed WordPress website.
It is important for your WordPress site to run the most recent, up-to-date, and secure version of PHP. If you’ve just moved an older site that was running version 5.6, 7.0, 7.2, or 7.3, you’ll want to change the PHP version once your site is updated to take advantage of the latest performance enhancements and features.
To do this, follow these steps:
-
Log in to the Hosting Panel at https://my.hosting.com.
-
In the left sidebar, click Managed WordPress:
-
On the My Websites page, locate the site, and then click Manage:
-
On the Rocket dashboard, click the Advanced icon.
-
In the Advanced Settings section, in the PHP Version list box, select the PHP version you want to run for your site.
-
After you change the PHP version, check your site to make sure that it still operates normally. If it doesn't, you’ll need to make sure that the WordPress Core, the WordPress theme, and all WordPress plugins are up to date, even if they are deactivated.
